Renowned musician and
producer Will Ackerman
(founder of Windham Hill
Records) has compiled and
produced a great new
collection of piano and
guitar pieces from
relatively new musicians on
the scene. The feel of the
music and indeed the
presentation of the album
will appeal greatly to those
who remember the Windham
Hill and Narada Labels
(especially the
'Collections') from the
1980s and 1990s.
A
high quality album, the two
stand-out tracks for me are
the majestic 'Bread of
Angels' by the undeniably
talented
Stanton Lanier,
and 'Anthem' composed by
Peter
Jennison.
